What does 22 momme mean?
Momme is how silk is weighed. Silk thread is too fine for a useful thread count, so the fabric is weighed instead. At 22 momme this is a dense, heavy silk that holds up to regular use.
What size is it?
51 cm x 76 cm, which fits a standard pillow. It will not fit a king pillow.
How does it close?
With a hidden zipper along the edge, so the pillow stays in and nothing shows.
Is the price for one pillowcase or a pair?

Is it the same silk on both sides?
Yes. Both faces are 22 momme mulberry silk, so it does not matter which way up it goes.
How do I wash it?

What is the difference between this and the satin pillowcase?
This is silk, a natural fibre. The satin pillowcase is a satin weave made from 100% polyester, costs less, tolerates easier washing and closes with an envelope end instead of a zipper.
Will the colour run?
Wash it on its own the first time, in cold water. After that it can go in with similar colours.
Does it shine?
Yes. Mulberry silk has a natural sheen that shows most on the lighter colours.
